Pop star Irene Cara passed away at the age of 63.

In the early 80s, Irene Cara was known for the theme songs for “Fame” and “Flashdance”.

Irene also received an Oscar and a Grammy Award.

Judith Moose said in a tweet announcing Cara’s death, “Please share your thoughts and memories of Irene.”

Cara died in her Florida home.

The cause of death is unknown, according to Moose’s statement.

Cara wrote another radio smash for “Flashdance… What a Feeling”.

For which she won an Oscar for Best Original Song and a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female.

Cara also had a few other hits, including “Why Me” and “Breakdance”.

He also worked with Burt Reynolds and Clint Eastwood in “City Heat”.
